Body
BACKGROUND

The Beckley Saner Recreation Center located at 114 West Hobson Avenue, Dallas, Texas, is being upgraded to include a new rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system.

This project is being implemented in support of the Comprehensive Environmental & Climate Action Plan that was adopted by the City in May 2020 to reduce City of Dallas greenhouse gas emissions.

The proposed 232.6 kW-DC solar PV system is expected to reduce the facility's annual energy usage by approximately 72%, compared to 2024 energy usage, and reduce the annual energy cost by approximately $23,000.00.

The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required to install a fully operational solar PV system, including panels, inverters, wiring, racking, and system integration with the existing electrical infrastructure.

This contract will also include testing, commissioning, and coordination with the Department of Facilities and Real Estate Management and Oncor to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and interconnection standards.
