BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Darielle Owens filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in an automobile collision on April 4, 2021, involving a Dallas Police Department officer operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Owens have reached a proposed settlement subject to City Council approval. Owens is represented by Andy Rubenstein and D. Miller & Associates, PLLC.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on May 9, 2025.
