Authorize a one-year Cooperative Agreement with SAFEBuilt Texas, LLC for permit plan review and inspection services for the Development Services Department for the period July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 - Estimated amount of $300,000.00 - Financing: Building Inspection Fund

BACKGROUND
The professional service contract will provide permit plan review and inspections services for the Development Services Department as supplemental assistance. Services from these third-party firms will add capacity for plan reviews and inspections. The department is currently experiencing an increase in attrition in inspector positions, DSD has increased the utilization of the contract to maintain daily plan review and inspection services.
In accordance with Administrative Directive 4-05, Paragraph 10.5.6, Special Need Justification was approved to contract with SafeBuilt Texas, LLC.
