BACKGROUND
This item, on behalf of the Dallas Water Utilities Department, authorizes a five-year lease agreement with Johnny Sorrells, for approximately 11.57 acres of City-owned land located in Collin County. The lease will provide for the continued use for agricultural purposes.
The cost of maintaining, securing and providing general upkeep of the Premises, in support of its use as part of the watershed for the Lake Ray Hubbard reservoir, is considered in the calculation of the Annual Rental Payment. Such upkeep shall include, but is not limited to, the installation of security fencing and security gates, disposing of debris, clearing the land of shrubs and trees and repairing levees as needed.
The lease will begin on November 1, 2025 through October 31, 2030.
