BACKGROUND

 

This item authorizes an amendment to Ordinance No. 32644, previously approved on January 24, 2024, which licensed a portion of Knox Street right-of-way for the use of approximately 375 square feet of land to install, maintain and utilize fifteen bollards without illumination near its intersection with McKinney Avenue to Gilliland Properties, Ltd., by altering Section 3, Section 7 and adding a new Exhibit A. The use of this area will not impede pedestrian or vehicular traffic. This license has a remaining term of forty years.

The licensee will indemnify the City and carry general liability insurance naming the City as an additional insured.

 

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)

 

On January 24, 2024, the City Council authorized a private license to Gilliland Properties, Ltd., for the use of a total of approximately 375 square feet of land to occupy, maintain and utilize fifteen bollards without illumination on a portion of Knox Street right-of-way near its intersection with McKinney Avenue by Resolution No. 24-0170; Ordinance No. 32644
