BACKGROUND

Funding was allocated to the City as a result of the winter and ice storm (Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster No. 4586) that occurred in Dallas, Texas in February 2021.

In late April 2022, the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that approximately $24.4 million of CDBG-DR funding has been allocated to the City of Dallas under the second tranche of funds released from the Disaster Relief and Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2022.

On January 18, 2023, the HUD distributed an Allocation Amendment Notice increasing the amount of CDBG-DR Funds allocating additional CDBG-DR Funds to the City of Dallas in the amount of $15,967,000.00 from the Continuing Appropriations Act 2023 (Pub. L.117-180).
