BACKGROUND
Plaintiffs Galena Anyanwu and Donatus Anyanwu filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in a motor vehicle accident on July 30, 2024, involving a Dallas Park & Recreation Department employee operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Plaintiffs have reached a proposed settlement of their claims, subject to City Council approval. Plaintiffs are represented by Brandon Steffey and McCormick Law Firm.

A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on October 9, 2026.
