BACKGROUND
On March 2, 2026, Tammy L. Palomino notified City Council of her retirement effective at the close of business on April 30, 2026.
City Council determined that it is necessary to appoint an Interim City Attorney during the time it takes to select and appoint a new City Attorney.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On January 25, 2023, The City Council Appointed Tammy L. Palomino as Interim City Attorney at the close of business on February 28, 2023.
October 11, 2023, the City Council appointed Tammy L. Palomino as City Attorney of the City of Dallas.
On April 21, 2026, the Ad Hoc Committee on Administrative Affairs discussed and provided a recommendation to the City Council on the appointment of an Interim City Attorney.
