Staff Recommendation
That a Certificate of Appropriateness to change paint color of the main structure body - SW2816 “Rookwood Dark Green” be approved with the condition that the paint color be a shade lighter than the proposed color and approved by staff with a finding of fact that while the proposed color does not comply with the Acceptable Color Range Standards contained in Addendum C, a shade within the Acceptable Color Range Standards would allow the proposed work to meet the standards in City Code Section 3.7 and Addendum C of the historic ordinance; City Code Section 51A-4.501(g)(6)(C)(i) for contributing structures; and the Secretary of the Interior’s Guidelines for Setting (District/Neighborhood).
Task Force Recommendation
That a Certificate of Appropriateness to change paint color of the main structure body - SW2816 Rookwood Dark Green be denied without prejudice due to the fact that the body color is outside the allowed Value range on the Munsell Scale. Recommend that the applicant choose a color w/in the allowed range, for example, SW Rookwood Jade, if wanting to stay in the green family.
