Authorize a ten-year cooperative purchasing agreement for data center relocation, operating, and managed services for the Department of Information and Technology Services with Terralogic Solutions, Inc. through The Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) cooperative agreement - Not to Exceed $26,774,610.57 - Financing: Data Services Fund ($22,570,653.03), and ITS Projects and Governance Fund ($401,520.00), and Information Technology Equipment Fund ($3,191,779.34), and 2008A Certificate of Obligation-CIS Fund ($610,658.20) (subject to annual appropriations)

BACKGROUND
This cooperative purchasing agreement will provide the City of Dallas the use of a secure, professionally managed data center to house and operate the computer systems that support essential City services. This includes a dependable facility for the City's servers, with reliable power, cooling, physical security, and fast network connections. The agreement also provides high-performance computing and storage resources, along with managed support services to help keep these systems running smoothly.
Using this service is an important step in moving the City away from older, aging technology environments and into a modern and more reliable model. The new approach improves the City's ability to recover quickly from disasters, strengthens overall cybersecurity, and supports long-term technology growth. It also reduces the risks and costs associated with maintaining outdated equipment, helping ensure that critical City operations stay available and well-protected.
