BACKGROUND

Dallas Love Field's Law Enforcement Building was completed and occupied in 2018. It is a 3-story concrete and steel building with floor plates of approximately 3,000 square feet per floor. The Dallas Police Department's Love Field Unit occupies the 1st and 2nd floors, and Airport Operations occupies the 3rd floor. This project will remodel the existing 3rd floor to meet the Airport Communications Center (ACC) (formerly the Airport Operations Center)/Airport Emergency Operation Center (AEOC) operation needs.

The Airport Operations Center (AOC) has been rebranded and is now the Airport Communications Center (ACC) which now operates for the purposes of this contract in the same fashion.

The ACC is an integral part of daily airport operations which requires a standard of functional requirements for 24/7 operational support during normal conditions, irregular operation, and emergency situations. The AEOC is an essential component of emergency response and recovery where key officials can collect, communicate, and coordinate information and resources.
