BACKGROUND
On September 27, 2023, the City Council authorized the construction services contract with Ed Bell Construction Company for the construction of a thoroughfare improvement project on Camp Wisdom Road from FM 1382 to Mountain Creek Parkway by Resolution No. 23-1323.
During construction it was determined that the proposed culvert extension is too close to the existing 12-inch water main. It was determined that the best solution would be to relocate the existing water main above the proposed culvert and below the shared-use path.
This action will authorize Change Order No. 2 in the construction services contract with Ed Bell Construction Company for the relocation of an existing 12-inch water main needed on Camp Wisdom Road from FM 1382 to Mountain Creek Parkway, in an amount not to exceed $359,413.28, increasing the contract from $6,924,105.95 to $7,283,519.23.
