BACKGROUND
Plaintiffs Ernesto Hernandez, Jr. (Hernandez) and Mayline Alonzo (Alonzo), through her next friend Laura Alonzo, filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in a motor vehicle collision on May 16, 2021, involving a Dallas Police Department officer operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Plaintiffs Hernandez and Alonzo have reached a proposed settlement of their claims, subject to City Council approval. Plaintiffs are represented by James Trujillo and the Law Office of James Trujillo.
