BACKGROUND

 

Each year the City of Dallas holds public hearings to provide the residents of Dallas the opportunity to speak on the upcoming year's budget. The hearing will be held at Dallas City Hall on August 23, 2023. Resident input is an important part of the budget development process. In accordance with the Local Government Code, the public hearing notice will be published in a newspaper of general circulation.

 

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)

 

On February 22, 2023, the City Council authorized public hearings to be held on March 8, May 24, and August 23, 2023, by Resolution No. 23-0274.

 

On March 8, 2023, the City Council held a public hearing to receive comments on the FY 2023-24 Operating, Capital, and Grant & Trust Budgets.

 

On May 24, 2023, the City Council held a public hearing to receive comments on the FY 2023-24 Operating, Capital, and Grant & Trust Budgets.
