BACKGROUND
Claimant Nelda Humphrey filed a claim against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in a motor vehicle accident on July 25, 2024, involving a Dallas Fire-Rescue employee operating a city-owned fire engine. The City and Ms. Humphrey have reached a proposed settlement of her claims, subject to city council approval. Ms. Humprey is not represented by legal counsel.

A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on June 18, 2026.
