BACKGROUND
This action will authorize a professional engineering services contract with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., for Streetlighting Design along Walton Walker Boulevard from Country Creek Drive to Spur 408.
On April 5, 2024, the City of Dallas, Department of Transportation (City) issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) from the Short-Listed Engineering firms that were selected under the Civil and Transportation Engineering Categories as part of the Dallas Airport System Pre-Qualified Architectural and Engineering Consulting Services, Solicitation Number: CIZ23-AVI-2097, to provide electrical and civil engineering services for streetlighting design along Walton Walker Boulevard from Country Creek Drive to Spur 408. The RFP closed on April 26, 2024, and one proposal was received.
In May 2024, a five-member selection committee consisting of staff from the Department of Transportation, Department of Public Works, and Small Business Center Department reviewed and evaluated the proposal. Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., was deemed a qualified and responsive proposer.
