BACKGROUND
This item, on behalf of the Park and Recreation Department, authorizes the acquisition from Heather McClure and Dane Cofer, of approximately 49,355 square feet of land improved with a single-family dwelling located near the intersection of Davenport Road and Duffield Drive for development of a trailhead with parking for the future Cotton Belt Trail. The consideration is based on an independent appraisal and further negotiations with the property owner. Relocation costs are estimated to be $10,000.00.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On April 11, 2023, the Park and Recreation Department Board authorized the acquisition from Heather McClure and Dane Cofer.
