Title
Authorize the (1) acceptance of a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) for the Legislative Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program FY2024 (FEMA Award ID No. EMT-2024-PD-0003, TDEM Project No. LPDM-PJ-06-TX-2024-007, Assistance Listing No. 97.047) for the purchase and installation of an emergency power generator at Kiest Recreation Center, located at 3081 South Hampton Road, in the amount of $659,639.93 of which the State's portion is $494,729.94 (75 percent) to be provided by the TDEM FY24 Legislative Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program Grant Fund, the local match portion is $164,909.99 (25 percent) to be provided by the General Fund, and the State's reimbursement to the City of Dallas in an amount not to exceed $494,729.94 for the period September 19, 2024 through September 18, 2027; (2) establishment of appropriations in an amount not to exceed $494,729.94 in the TDEM FY24 Legislative Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program Grant Fund; (3) receipt and deposit of funds in the amount not to exceed $494,729.94 into the TDEM FY24 Legislative Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program Grant Fund; (4) local cash match in an amount not to exceed $164,909.99 from the General Fund; and (5) execution of the grant agreement with TDEM and all terms, conditions and documents required by the agreement - Total amount not to exceed $659,639.93 - Financing: TDEM FY24 Legislative Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program Grant Fund ($494,729.94), and General Fund ($164,909.99) (subject to annual appropriations)
