BACKGROUND

This cooperative purchasing agreement will provide the continued add-on support for the backup and recovery solution to support the City's data security and reliability. Rubrik Customer Experience Manager is a cloud-based platform add-on support designed to manage and optimize customer interactions across digital channels. The department of Information and Technology Services will continue to utilize the software to back up the City's data if restoration of a database is necessary. Backing up data provides security to the city by allowing the city to have copies of the previous data to restore integrity and security to that database, in the event of an error that corrupts or damages a database.

The Interlocal Purchasing System Cooperative agreement is authorized by Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code and Subchapter F, Chapter 271, Texas Local Government Code. Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code which authorizes a local government to participate in a Cooperative Purchasing Program with another local government or a local cooperative organization.
