BACKGROUND

On December 8, 2021, the City Council authorized a five-year professional services contract with Dal-Tech Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $10,632,595.94, Arredondo, Zepeda & Brunz, LLC in the amount of $2,516,509.66, Criado and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $1,622,681.18, and Freese and Nichols, Inc. in the amount of $13,997,374.48 for professional engineering, subsurface utilities engineering, and survey services related to private development and public improvement projects specific to the Development Services, Transportation, Floodplain Management, and Public Works Departments by Resolution No. 21-2003.

The Department of Transportation and Public Works (TPW) and the Department of Convention and Event Services (CES) are engaged in a multi-departmental effort to ensure the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD) Master Plan expansion project continues to progress according to schedule. In this collaborative effort, TPW agreed to use the existing SUE/Survey contract with Criado & Associates, LLC, formerly known as Criado & Associates, Inc., (Criado) to conduct the necessary services for SUE/Survey and platting to create a "legal build site" for the KBHCCD project area.
