BACKGROUND
This item authorizes the conveyance of an easement and right-of-way containing approximately 1,012 square feet of land to Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC, for the construction, maintenance, and use of power lines, power poles, and electric transformer facilities across City-owned property located near the intersection of Teague Drive and Simpson Stuart Road for the Alta Mesa Pump Station. The Alta Mesa Pump Station is an important pump station within the Dallas Water Utilities Department (DWU) water delivery system.
The Oncor easement and right-of-way request at the Alta Mesa Pump Station is for dual power automatic switching equipment that will provide electrical redundancy for improved service reliability. The proposed Oncor infrastructure improvements will benefit the pump station and allow DWU to continue to meet water quality and pressure requirements within the water distribution system.
