BACKGROUND
On March 10, 2023, the City Manager received a memorandum signed by three Council members to consider an application for a Street Name change of a portion of Grady Niblo Road, between Spur 408 Service Road and Kiwanis Road, to "Sharrock Road".
On April 15, 2023, notification signs were put up on a portion of Grady Niblo Road, between Spur 408 Service Road and Kiwanis Road in accordance with Section 51A-9.503(b) of the Dallas Development Code to change the street name to "Sharrock Road".
On April 17, 2023, the newspaper notice for the Subdivision Review Committee hearing was published. On April 17, 2023, notices were sent to 15 property owners notifying them of the proposed street name change. On Thursday, May 4, 2023, the Subdivision Review Committee by unanimous vote recommended approval of the Street Name Change.
On June 15, 2023, the newspaper notice for the City Plan Commission hearing was published. On June 13, 2023, notices were sent to 15 property owners notifying them of the proposed street name change. On Thursday, June 20, 2023, the City Plan Commission by unanimous vote recommended approval of the Street Name Change.
