BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Gilberto Sanchez-Ramirez filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in a motor vehicle accident on May 11, 2023, involving a Department of Code Compliance employee operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Plaintiff have reached a proposed settlement of all claims asserted in the lawsuit, subject to City Council approval. Plaintiff is represented by Jennifer Bryan and JB Law, PLLC.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on August 7, 2026.
