Body

BACKGROUND

The City of Dallas currently leases office, support, and storage space in the terminal building at Dallas Love Field to the United States of America for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This ten-year lease commenced on April 1, 2015, and will expire on March 31, 2025.

Since the current lease agreement will expire March 31, 2025, the City now desires to enter into a new ten-year lease agreement with the United States of America for office, support, and storage space at Dallas Love Field, together with rights to the use of parking and other areas, for the TSA commencing April 1, 2025. The United States of America will pay the City an estimated amount of $534,939.24 annually for years one through five of the lease term and an estimated amount of $563,115.24 annually for years six through ten of the lease term. These amounts include rental payments for the leased space, operating costs, and parking fees.
