Body

BACKGROUND

This item authorizes the acquisition of a drainage easement from Johnie Wilson and wife Mary B. Wilson, containing approximately 865 square feet of land located at Fernwood Avenue near its intersection with Louisiana Avenue for the Kings Branch Culvert at Louisiana Project. This project will remove the existing drainage infrastructure and construct a bigger box culvert, and will also regrade the existing drainage channel to enhance storm water capacity and reduce the risk of flooding during heavy storm events. To accomplish these improvements, the City needs to acquire the drainage easement on the subject property.  The consideration is based on an independent appraisal. There are no relocation benefits associated with this acquisition.
