BACKGROUND

This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service contract is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis.

This Supplemental Agreement will provide for continued purchase of firewalls and equipment, related accessories, managed services, and support services for the Dallas Airport System for the Department of Aviation (AVI). AVI falls under Transportation Critical Infrastructure Sector and Presidential Policy Directive 21 (PPD-21): Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience which advances a national policy to strengthen and maintain secure, functioning, and resilient critical infrastructure. The airport firewalls are the first line of defense to protect AVI's critical infrastructure from cyber threats. The current firewalls must have continued maintenance and support that will ensure protection for Dallas Love Field Airport. With major cyber-attacks such as 'SolarWinds' moving across the world, the City must stay on the cutting edge of technological infrastructure.
