BACKGROUND

This action will authorize the continuation of subscription services for the City's enterprise human capital management a comprehensive human resource and payroll system platform. Workday supports core citywide business functions, including This includes core modules for Human Capital Management, U.S. Payroll, Talent & Recruiting, Learning & Performance, Benefits Integration, Time Tracking, Compensation and Advanced Analytics, and serves as a system of record supporting. The subscription supports approximately 14,000 employees across City departments.

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)

On February 28, 2018, the City Council authorized a six-year subscription contract for the licensing, configuration, hosting, maintenance, and technical support for the replacement of a citywide Human Capital Management application with Workday, Inc. by Resolution No. 18-0372.

On January 22, 2020, the City Council authorized Supplemental Agreement No. 6 to the subscription contract with Workday, Inc., to amend the scope of services and decrease the contract amount by Resolution No. 20-0216.

On December 13, 2023, the City Council authorized Supplemental Agreement No. 13 to the subscription contract with Workday, Inc., to authorize a one-year extension from March 8, 2024 to March 7, 2025, by Resolution No. 23-1682.
