Title
Authorize the (1) acceptance of a grant from the Petco Love Foundation in the amount of $75,000.00 to support animal welfare operations; (2) receipt and deposit of funds in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00 in the FY2026 Pet Charity Grants Fund; and (3) establishment of appropriations in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00 in the FY2026 Pet Charity Grants Fund - Not to exceed $75,000.00 - Financing: FY2026 Pet Charity Grants Fund

BACKGROUND
Through extensive efforts, Dallas Animal Services has successfully achieved key operational goals related to adoptions, spay and neuter initiatives, trap-neuter-return programs, return-to-owner outcomes, and microchipping. As a result of these accomplishments, DAS has been awarded grant funds from the Petco Love Foundation. These grant funds are made available on an ongoing basis, contingent upon the continued achievement of the stated goals within the specified performance timeframes.
