BACKGROUND

If approved, this action will authorize a professional engineering services contract with Gresham Smith to develop preliminary engineering; environmental; final engineering/design; plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E); and construction documents for the reconstruction and widening of sidewalks with the installation of pedestrian street lights, and the reconstruction/upgrade of the crosswalks and associated traffic signal infrastructure on Camp Wisdom Road from US 67 to Westmoreland Road in in the city of Dallas for CSJ 0918-47-368 ("Project").

In October 2023, the City of Dallas entered into an Advance Funding Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to accept federal funding from the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program in the amount of $6,000,000.00 to complete the Project, with the City of Dallas leading implementation of the environmental assessment, engineering, and construction.
