BACKGROUND

On September 18, 2024, the City Council adopted the Operating, Grants/Trust, and Capital Budgets for FY 2024-25, by Ordinance No. 32861 and Resolution No. 24-1347.

As part of City Council's approval of the FY 2024-25 General Fund Budget, an amendment set aside $462,416 for the Bullington Truck and Pedestrian Terminal (including Thanks-Giving Square) within the Non-Departmental appropriation pending City Council's approval to restore this amount to the department of Facilities and Real Estate Management prior to mid-year.

Both the Government Performance and Financial Management Committee and City Council have received information about this facility and the corresponding contractual agreements on multiple occasions since the start of the fiscal year.

Staff recommends restoring $462,416 back to the department of Facilities and Real Estate Management for the continuation of operation and maintenance as well as the annual payment to the Thanks-Giving Foundation.
