BACKGROUND

 

The proposed Rules of Procedure Amendment of Board of Adjustment (BDA) will provide further clarification on the rules, reduce the timeframe for when an applicant may withdraw or amend an application, and allow the board to consolidate and assign cases and appeals to a single panel to promote efficiency, expediency, fairness to affected parties, and the economy of case-management.

 

PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)

 

On October 29, 2024, the Board of Adjustment Working Rules of Procedure Amendments were reviewed and composed in collaboration with Board of Adjustment Members, City Attorney’s Office, Planning and Urban Design Staff, and Development Services Staff. Board of Adjustment Working Rules of Procedure Amendments were unanimously adopted.
