Authorize a three-year service price agreement for removal and pruning of public trees, emergency activation and storm response services, and plant health care treatments for citywide use - Shawnee Mission Tree Service, Inc. dba Arbor Masters, lowest responsible bidder of eight - Estimated amount of $5,508,709.50 - Financing: General Fund ($5,164,394.90) and Stormwater Drainage Management Fund ($344,314.60) (subject to annual appropriations)

BACKGROUND
This action does not encumber funds; the purpose of a service price agreement is to establish firm pricing for services, for a specific term, which are ordered on an as needed basis according to annual budgetary appropriations. The estimated amount is intended as guidance rather than a cap on spending under the agreement, so that actual need combined with the amount budgeted will determine the amount spent under this agreement.
This service price agreement will provide for removal and pruning of public trees, emergency activation and storm response services, and plant health care treatments for citywide use. Services involve tree trimming, pruning, removal of trees at risk, emergency storm response services, pest and disease management, and general maintenance to keep the urban forest healthy and thriving.
This is an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity agreement for which quantities of services and/or delivery schedules cannot be determined. Services under this agreement will be ordered by the City on an as needed basis for the term of this agreement.
