Applicant Fernando Sanchez

Application Filed 08/17/2026

Staff Recommendation

That the request for a Certificate of to remodel the existing home, including: window and door modifications, chimney removal, rafter tail removal, replacing the #117 siding with fiber cement siding, replacing the front door, bracket removal, replacing the existing chain link fence, and adding a rear porch be denied without prejudice with the finding of fact that changing window and door configuration, removing the chimney, removing architectural features, and changing the siding would have an adverse effect on the structure and the historic district. The proposed work, therefore, does not meet City Code Section 51A-4.501(g)(6)(C)(i) for contributing structures; and/or the Secretary of the Interior’s Guidelines for Rehabilitation (District/Neighborhood).
