BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Demariyea Williams, along with Untrell Calhoun and Tiffany Shipp, filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in an automobile collision on January 24, 2023, involving a Park & Recreation Department employee operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Demariyea Williams have reached a proposed settlement of his bodily injury claims, subject to City Council approval. Demariyea Williams is represented by Valerie Hulse and The Hulse Law Firm.

A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on October 18, 2024.
