Title
Authorize (1) execute agreements or FY 2026-27 with various federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to participate in investigations, receive reimbursements, share asset forfeitures, and set out operational procedures as requested for various task forces including but not limited to those shown on the attached list; (2) a City contribution of Federal Insurance Contributions Act costs in the amount of $6,527.90; (3) an increase in appropriations in an amount not to exceed $450,200.00 in the Various Task Force Fund; and (4) execution of the agreements, and all terms, conditions and documents required by the agreement - Not to exceed $456,727.90 - Financing: General Fund ($6,527.90) (subject to appropriations) and Various Task Force Fund ($450,200.00)

BACKGROUND
The Dallas Police Department (DPD) is routinely asked to participate in various federal, state, and local law enforcement investigation task forces and receives reimbursement for expenses associated with those task forces from the sponsoring federal, state, or local agency involved. The reimbursed expenses are generally for the Dallas Police Department officers' overtime associated with the investigations. Occasionally, the task force agreement specifies reimbursement for other miscellaneous expenses.
DPD participates in approximately 18 to 25 task forces per year for varying lengths of time. Each task force investigation is usually confidential, and the officers assigned to the investigation are generally undercover officers. Each task force agreement specifies the nature, the time- period and maximum amount of reimbursement the City may receive and must be signed by an authorized official of the City.
