BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Terrell Hammonds Jr. filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in a motor vehicle collision on August 24, 2021, involving a Dallas Police Department employee operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Mr. Hammonds have reached a proposed settlement of his claims, subject to City Council approval. Mr. Hammonds is represented by Jonathan Rawlins and Rawlins Law Firm, LLC.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on April 18, 2025.
