SUBJECT
Title
Authorize an engineering services contract with Garver, LLC to design the expansion of airside ramp space from existing pavement to Taxiway Apron at Dallas Executive Airport - Not to exceed $223,950.00 - Financing: Aviation Construction Fund
Body
BACKGROUND
Enhanced markings identification and improved skid resistance help pilots identify apron-to-taxiway markings during nighttime, low visibility, and heavy rain/snow conditions reducing risks associated with an aircraft excursion. Paved islands accommodate the best long-term pavement performance providing over a 20-year structural lifespan with minimal cracking and reduced airfield maintenance costs. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to expand the air-side ramp space and pave the existing no-taxi islands at Dallas Executive Airport.
