BACKGROUND
The Department of Aviation (Aviation) has determined that a unique need exists, such as specialized experience, that only certain concessionaires can provide to deliver the desired service within the Dallas Love Field (DAL) terminal in time for the passengers arriving from Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and during the Love Field Expansion Airport Program construction (LEAP). Adding the concession will maximize revenue during FIFA and allows for increases in concession offerings during LEAP construction. The current terminal is approximately 50 percent short of the needed concessions space, until space can be added after the concourse expansion in LEAP. Regali, Inc., a Dallas-based small business enterprise, will operate a kiosk, branded as FreeFlight Sweets and will feature an international theme. The kiosk will offer a curated selection of Texas-made and globally sourced sweets, chocolates, candies, and will also serve alcoholic beverages.
Aviation is requesting approval to contract with Regali, Inc. for a food and beverage concession service in Suite C2173, located between gates 6 and 8 at DAL.
