BACKGROUND
On March 27, 2024 and April 3, 2024, the City of Dallas advertised for bids for the Sylvan Discovery Gateway. In response to the advertisement, the Office of Procurement Services received bids from four firms on May 10, 2024.
This action will award a contract for construction of the Sylvan Discovery Gateway to The Fain Group, Inc., lowest responsive bidder of four, for the Base Bid and Alternate Nos. A2, A3, B1, B3, B4, C1, C3 and C4, in an amount not to exceed $4,243,017.79. This project was included in the 2017 Bond Program.
The scope of work includes the construction of a trail connecting the Trinity Strand Trail to the Discovery Trail along Sylvan Avenue between Irving Boulevard and Morris Street.
