BACKGROUND
Plaintiffs Melody Reed and Kelli Goodwin filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in a motor vehicle accident on February 22, 2023, involving a Department of Transportation and Public Works employee operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Plaintiffs have reached a proposed settlement of all claims asserted in the lawsuit, subject to City Council approval. Plaintiffs are represented by Florencio Moreno and Flo4Law.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on August 7, 2026.
