BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Karina Guadalupe Moreles filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in a motor vehicle accident on July 22, 2023, involving a Dallas Police Department officer operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Ms. Moreles have reached a proposed settlement of her claims, subject to City Council approval. Ms. Moreles is represented by Christian Andrew Truelove and Reyes Browne Law.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on February 6, 2026.
