BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Bright Siaw-Afriyie filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas on March 6, 2015, pursuant to Chapter 21 of the Texas Labor Code, alleging that he suffered employment discrimination because of his national origin and race, and that he had been retaliated against for engaging in protected activity. Plaintiff is represented by John Crouch with Kilgore & Kilgore, PC.

City Council was briefed by confidential memorandum regarding this matter on August 6, 2021.
