BACKGROUND
On August 24, 2022, the City Council authorized the construction services contract with XIT Paving and Construction, Inc., for the construction of Chalk Hill Road (North) from Interstate Highway 30 (IH-30) Frontage Road to Singleton Boulevard, in an amount not to exceed $16,938,615.50, by Resolution No. 22-1201.
During construction, it was discovered that more storm drainage improvements than anticipated in the design are needed to tie the proposed Chalk Hill Road (North) storm drainage pipe to the outfall in Butternut Street. Consequently, it is necessary to add the additional storm drainage improvements needed to the contract.
XIT Paving and Construction, Inc. is located in Waxahachie, Texas, and is a registered vendor with the City of Dallas.
This action will authorize Change Order No. 2 to the construction services contract with XIT Paving and Construction, Inc. for the additional storm drainage improvements needed on Chalk Hill Road (North) from IH-30 Frontage Road to Singleton Boulevard.
