BACKGROUND
On August 19, 2026, the City Council appointed Rory Galter as Interim City Auditor, effective on August 19, 2026, to serve until the City Council selects and appoints a permanent City Auditor with an annual base salary of $180,000.00, by Resolution No. 26-1265.
The City Auditor Nominating Commission recommended candidates to the Committee on Finance for the position of City Auditor for the City of Dallas.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On October 19, 2026, the Committee on Finance voted to recommend two candidates for the City Auditor position for consideration by City Council.
