Staff Recommendation
That the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to plant one (1) Caddo Maple or Chinese Pistache tree in the parkway along Sycamore St and two (2) Redbuds in the parkway along Fitzhugh Avenue in participation with the Dallas Reforestation Fund Program be approved with the condition that staff may revise species and location per city arborist recommendation. Implementation of the proposed condition would allow the proposed work to be consistent with preservation criteria Section 2.6; meet the City Code Section 51A-4.501(g)(6)(C)(i) for contributing structures; and/or the Secretary of the Interior’s Guidelines for Setting (District/Neighborhood).

That the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to plant one (1) Chinese Pistache tree in the parkway along Sycamore St and two (2) Redbuds in the parkway along Fitzhugh Avenue in accordance with specifications dated 10/5/2026 in participation with the Dallas Reforestation Fund Program be approved.
