Authorize a professional services contract with Gresham Smith to provide engineering services for the evaluation and design of erosion control improvements at five locations (list attached to Agenda Information Sheet) - Not to exceed $349,317.50 - Financing: Flood Protection and Stormwater Drainage (C) Fund (2024 General Obligation Bond Fund) ($334,182.50) and (2025 Certificate of Obligation Fund) ($15,135.00)

BACKGROUND
The City of Dallas has identified various properties experiencing severe erosion which have been included in the 2024 Bond Program. Engineering services are needed to evaluate options and develop construction documents to stabilize eroded stream banks utilizing gabion walls or other approved erosion control measures. The improvements will stabilize the existing stream banks while staying within the existing property boundary and floodway or erosion control easements.
This action will authorize a professional services contract with Gresham Smith for the engineering evaluation and design of erosion control improvements at five locations. Erosion control improvements will be evaluated and designed for 123 South Ravinia Drive, Kiest Valley Parkway at Kiest Knoll Drive Outfall Protection, 3338 South Ravinia Drive, 1615 East 11th Street, and 1203 and 1205 Compton Street. The services provided for this contract include project management, topographic and boundary surveys, easement document preparation, environmental permitting, subsurface utility exploration, geotechnical investigations, structural analysis, hydraulic analysis, and development of conceptual and final construction plans and special specifications.
