BACKGROUND

This cooperative purchasing agreement will provide continued support and maintenance of the citywide data management system that was implemented to assist the city in sharing, analyzing, and visualizing information across multiple departments to support data driven decisions. As a part of the City's data strategy, this data management system provides a shared data environment that fosters better insight into data collected by various City systems.

Key functionalities included as a part of this citywide data management system:

The Texas Department of Information Resources cooperative agreement is authorized by Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, and Subchapter F, Chapter 271, of the Texas Local Government Code. Section 271.102 of the Texas Local Government Code authorizes a local government to participate in a Cooperative Purchasing Program with another local government or a local cooperative organization.
