BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Sheniqua Harris-Jones filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in an automobile collision on July 15, 2022, involving a Department of Code Compliance employee operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Ms. Harris-Jones have reached a proposed settlement of her claims, subject to City Council approval. Ms. Harris-Jones is represented by Witherite Law Group, PLLC.

A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on October 17, 2025.
