BACKGROUND
Plaintiff Jorge Cruz filed a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, seeking compensation for alleged bodily injuries and other damages sustained in a motor vehicle collision on January 26, 2023, involving a former Department of Sanitation Services employee operating a city-owned vehicle. The City and Mr. Cruz have reached a proposed settlement of his claims, subject to City Council approval. Mr. Cruz is represented by Sadat Montgomery.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
A confidential memorandum regarding this matter will be provided to the City Council on August 8, 2025.
