Title
Authorize an Interlocal Agreement with the Richardson Independent School District ("RISD") for the provision of police services by the City of Dallas ("City") in the RISD's Lake Highlands High School, junior high schools, and elementary schools within the limits of both the City and RISD - Estimated Revenue: General Fund $1,804,624.37

BACKGROUND
Under this Interlocal Agreement, RISD will be responsible for reimbursement of the actual full cost, including overtime if needed, of nine School Resource Officers as well as the cost of a sergeant for time spent while on campus. RISD will also provide a private office and administrative equipment necessary to perform their duties.
These officers will be responsible for responding to calls for service, crime prevention, law enforcement, enforcement of truancy, and community engagement at the schools and surrounding community. Also, their duties shall include counseling students and parents in helping find solutions to attendance and behavioral problems.
Either party may terminate this agreement anytime upon written notice to the other party at least 60 days prior to the date of termination or upon non-appropriation of funds by its governing body.
PRIOR ACTION/REVIEW (COUNCIL, BOARDS, COMMISSIONS)
On February 22, 2017, the City Council authorized an Interlocal Agreement with RISD for the provision of police services by the City in the RISD's Lake Highlands High School and junior high schools within the limits of both the City and RISD Schools by Resolution No. 17-0440.
